Who we are
HackNC is an annual, student-run hackathon hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Every fall, hundreds of students arrive at UNC (this year, we'll be having a hybrid hackathon!) to spend the weekend inventing something amazing. We’re one of the largest hackathons in the southeastern United States.

Social Good
Our 24-hour hackathon encourages hackers to think of a problem–whether it’s in education or healthcare, on inequality or the environment–and utilize technology to make a difference.
General
Not all problems and innovations can fit neatly into specific boxes, so hackers who choose this track will be able to submit other unique hacks. .
Entertainment
Learning happens beyond the four walls of a classroom. It’s through doing projects that bring personal enjoyment, where hackers apply what learned to create programs that are fun for them.
